Toll Plaza and Lane Electromechanical Access

Lane barriers, toll displays, and cameras via industrial edge switches into the plaza LAN.

1. Scenario

Toll lanes pack barriers, fare displays, and cameras into tight island cabinets with copper/fiber back to the plaza. Leagrid highway electromechanical projects (e.g. Zunqin, Zhangshang, Jingqin corridors) use this pattern.

2. Challenges

Island cabinets see harsh climate and vibration; lane services cannot stay down; mixed legacy ports.

3. Architecture

Use 2FE1FX-I in island/field cabinets; aggregate lanes with 8GE2GF-M in the plaza closet toward the station MDF.

4. Recommended Leagrid LGS2000 products

  • LGS2000-2FE1FX-I: Unmanaged DIN-rail industrial switch: 2×FE copper + 1×FE fiber, IP40, −40–85°C, EMC Level 4—edge access with fiber uplink in cabinets.
  • LGS2000-8GE2GF-M: Managed Gigabit industrial switch: 8×GE copper + 2×GE SFP; VLAN/QoS/ring redundancy for intersection and shop-floor aggregation.

5. Deployment notes

VLAN-separate lanes vs offices; QoS for tolling; accept fiber/redundancy per ITS electromechanical specs.
